...a neat thing about sisters is that they do listen to the little wants & trivial longings. Ruth has had these little ones in her possession (click for her version) for her next trip our way for quite a while and not hinting one bit. Thanks so much, love 'em! They now reside near a stone that was given in memory of our dad.
theNEXTdutch treat is the above little wooden shoe magnets and napkin from a special couple that just recently traveled through Amsterdam, this"lady"wanted me to have matching shoes. I gratefully gave her a stinky/dirty hug and smile from the bottom of my toes (I had been working outdoors) for remembering me & my handicap of mismatched feet wear(click here)! The little shoes are so stinkin' cute!
Thanks, Vonda....
yes, I know I am suppose to share the shoes, but my sisters don't know about them!!!
(our secret, Ok??)
.........and last but not least is getting to know a wee bit a real live dutch boy the past several weeks. Dennis left Wednesday to return to Holland. You know what he wants to do next year???? Nope, not come back, but try his hand at raising sweetcorn at his home! Weird huh, not really, he just that kind of guy. At the end of a day of work, Dennis is happy with a sense of accomplishment! He puts the 'fun' in work! It was a realDUTCHtreat to have him here.
