Dad's lunch pail....went to work with him for 10 years, 3-midnight, that lunch box sustained him, as he worked at the feed mill in Cherokee.
A chore of mine (probably the other kids too) was to make that lunch, it was always the same,
3 cheese sandwiches, jar of fruit sauce, a thermos of _____ (do not remember what now) and cookies...
.....when it came home it would only have a few crumbs and a cookie left for the dog eagerly waiting Dad's return.

Yes, and remeber we would stop at Walnut Grove on Monday nights to see Dad and of course go through his lunch pail and it was empty:(
