SHEAR...

is cold to let go of the wool.


But....that's what you do before lambing! I don't get it but that's what they all do. I questioned them again and the more experienced I questioned also. The reasoning is for easier nursing and also lowers the risk of suffocation of the lambs. A day or so before the coldest temperatures, 6 ewes' wool jackets are bagged up to be sold....brrr!

Isaac is thoroughly enjoying his business adventure and the anticipation of lambs in about 7 days!

The guy Kara bought sheep from said that sheering also makes them stay in the barn, so the lambs are likely to be born in the barn.
