The girl had the nerve to compare me to:

In my defence...

i did not begin the conversation

about

the chickens

he did

and I was just conversing with him

maybe a bit to much

??

but hey,

I don't get out much,

or not have much of a life,

my dear daughter justified !!!

the news from the

Chicken Yard

is

they have enjoyed a few more days free ranging the yard

as we still have occasional unseasonable warm days

3 rodents met their demise (at last)

the hens pecking a hole in the eggs,

have stopped since adding oyster shells to their diet

and

a pecking block

See, I do get out a bit.

went to the

Feed Shak -

and visited

with another chicken farmer

about the bad habit of

the girls ruining,

the fruits of their

labor

with a pecked hole.

(did you know

chickens like their back scratched

& necks massaged ????)
