IT'S NO PUZZLE....

......that Mom is doing great.

Mom and Helen

Mom & her friends are as hard to keep up with as my kids and their friends!!!
Mom has a friend at CVM that she swaps newspapers with everyday....her SiouxCityJournal for the lady next door's W'tonGlobe.
Mom has another friend she plays scrabble with.
The above friend that puts puzzles together with.
Her meal time friends....
The staff....all treat Mom like a very special friend.
Then over and above the 'friends' that take mom out on Sundays....the ones that visit or call or write that we will more than likely not ever know about as Mom forgets...shortly after, but it makes a different....
THANKS from the bottom of our
Then there is a granddaughter that takes Grandma out, inspite of G'ma being nervous of her driving....Laura in her pick-up, helping G'ma and taking her to GMtg !!! So there is Laura with her young friends and.................nearly 90 Grandma....that makes me smile!
....and then there is grandsons that often forget the polite things, quick to help G'ma with her walker & opening doors/taking her bags/purse.
YEP,
its all well, as time changes its helps us see, be and do.....for others.
PUZZLINGain't it.....???
Nursing homes had such bad rep but we have had such positive experience with CVM.
A few ways mom refers of where she is:
'the place I stay'
'my apartment'
'my room'
'the hospital'
'where I'm at'
and for the first time this weekend I heard mom call it the 'nursing home'
Sad nursing homes have such a bad rep.....they are so much nicer than in the past & as an use-to-be LPN/charge nurse in long term care....I loved the nursing home work and the elderly.
Happy that Mom is doing great and has special friends where she is at !!!
