our form of SPRING in Minnesota.
flowers from G'ma Cookie for Laura
...chocolate rabbit only surviving because the owner is too sick to eat him/her!!!
What I am learning lately:
1. moms must know how to multi-task (and learn to be gracious in doing so) I have a lot to learn
2. mono is not a one time sickness (or two time)
3. mono affects the serotonin and dopamine of the brain a) dopamine....feeling down and miserable beyond the physical b) serotonin....messes up your sleep c) the above you learn when you see the doctors more often than you like ... ....challenge their knowledge as Joe-Public knows you only get mono once! d) the last Dr we seen assures us that we can not really have done anything to prevent her being ill so much. e) this doctor wants to see her when she is completely well, 6 weeks- 3 months whatever it takes. He would like to find out if there is an underlying issue. This is a comfort to her parents.
4. 16 years old do want their parents around....only when they are very sick??
5. family goes beyond the natural family...at my uncles funeral their were those who loved and knew him better than his natural family. Those people will feel the loss keenly in their weekly/biweekly meetings. Time spent together beyond the natural gathering.
6. Fruit is most valuable and nutritious when ripen fully...my uncle proved this by living several years in frail health and never letting his love falter...long suffering.
7. the home needs mom to keep it going...therefore I must be about my chores
8. dads make great Mr. Mom's (when moms are called/pulled away)
9. a wet week is being granted to us....time for more indoor projects/cleaning

BBs, well said my dear sister!
I agree with the above....And bring out the spring stuff to cheer you and all the household up!!!!
Life is never dull huh!?!
Nice list. Sorry you're having to deal with the lingering illnesses. And sorry for the loss of your uncle, though I know he wasn't well. I don't remember him very well, but he had very big shoes in my father's eyes and not just because of the big hands/big feet thing, either. <3 Thinking of your family...
