TOWELS
Look what I found....cleaning out the fruit/storage room this morning. Just about anything that was on the floor is now in black bags heading to the burn pile. This room is where you don't quite know what to do with it you throw it in there. Well with the water in the basement a month ago there is now a stench and I am sure the beginning of mold. So today I am
"dealing with it!"
and these towels were found unharmed but 2 are missing,
TUESDAY and SATURDAY.
The towels were a wedding gift that I saved for someday.
Well someday is here and 2 are missing. Should have used them 18 years ago, I would of had 7 of them! Remember back when this is what all kitchens had? A favorite pasttime of our mothers, aunts and grandmothers ironing the print on flour sacks then embordered with the colorful floss.
How I value them now even though
TUESDAY & SATURDAY
are missing.
I smile when I think of the neighbor that gifted them to us, not anyone I knew when we married but now
know after 18+ years of being their neighbor too.
Maturity brings appreciation of each stitch made & every minute invested in this gift.

Oh BBS, how special. What a gift, makes the cleaning all worthwhile! It is something to remeber what our mothers, grandmothers did to express their creative side! Just now thinking of Grandpa and his seed design pictures:)
these are the best..I wore out 2 sets that were wedding gifts...so fun...good ole nostalgia, nothing like it!
So cute! I had a wedding gift set but they are gone now, too, Sun-Sat.
