Instead of a Sunday afternoon nap Kerry captured this swarm of bees, the air was black with them buzzing loudly before they took lodging on this tree branch. I took a video of him collecting the bees but cannot load on to the blog therefore no still picture of the process. From what I read the bees are heavy with honey so do not travel far. They were less than fifty feet from the hives. Isaac said they even got the queen...she is the one that initiates the swarm...check out the link for more info if interested...quite fascinating how mother nature works and make so much sense when you understand the why's and whatfor's !!

What Kerry didn't get the first time, they buzzed off the branch, came right back to the branch. From some research that I read, loosing a swarm of bees is like a farmer loosing a calf....
