WHATTA QUESTION !!!

SCENE SETTING: the chiropractic exam room I am on the exam table face down, the Doctor is working over the sore back. Dr said, "Are you a picker?" Myself, "Huh, what?" my thoughts go a million directions is a nanosecond and what Doc had in mind was NOT what I was thinking.

Doc is looking over at what I left near my purse....my newly checked out books from the library....as he saying, "like the PICKERS on the history channel, you ever watch that?" I, not one to watch TV, I had no clue what the guy was talking about. Well, there is 2 guys, from IOWA, (now that I am, from Iowa, not a guy)! Anyways, these guys, go down back roads, stop at unkept residence and go through people junk, collection and old buildings (they really like the ones filled with cob webs and creaking hinges as these places have been untouched for a very long time) all over the USA. They purchase "stuff" that has value for resale and as they do this, they are making a TV show that airs on the history channel! I checked it out, kinda cool but.....

"no Dr. I am not a PICKER!"

However, I did trip over a bunch of junk & hurt my back..........(this is loaded to go to the scrap yard)

....this, I want to keep,

and this....

and this.....(gonna use in Evan's bedroom when I get to the painting of his walls)

oh, and this I am using,

...this, I saw an idea in FUNKY JUNK, so I'm gonna keep it,

this, well its the top of an old propane cylinder, flip it over it can be a pencil holder or just hold some kind of do-dads....so put that on the save pile.

....the windmill base, $5, kinda what my son wanted, the wind thing-a-ma-jig was ruined but.....

...we did this, for Ike's room!

...old scale and chair back, not much good for anything, but I like 'em!

...this old home made doll house, not sure yet but I like it and just know one day it will be......in the mean time I love how it looks in the garage!

NO....dr. I am not a picker,
I like junk,
thrifty (a.k.a. cheap/free), rusty, probably no value,
I am not a picker,
I'm a...
JUNKER..
REPURPOSER,
pack rat,
a saver,
and way behind on the daily chores!!!!

There's a couple of farms we pass by on our way to Idaho Falls and some day... Some day, I'm going to stop to see if they would be willing to part with some of their "junk." Most specifically, grain elevator cups!
