...........Dennis, from Holland/The Netherlands.
We are enjoying getting to know Dennis and a bit of my Dad's homeland through him. Dennis was an exchange student not last year but the year before and wanted to come back to visit his USA friends but....also wanted a job and to be busy, thats where we fit in. Casual part time, that kid likes to work, experience the rural life so much that one morning (someone else told me) he got up at 3:30 am to load hogs, then came and worked all day for us because he wanted to know "what it was like" (to load hogs) !
When you pick sweet corn you stay in your row and someone hauls the buckets to and from you....well Mike got the shock of the day when he went pick up his bucket to find a......................RACCOON, looking up out to of the bucket. Seems like Dennis found a dead one and carefully place him in the bucket to have eyes only for Mike......!
One day a nail hurt Dennis "real bad" and kinda cut his hand.....barely true blood, men must be the same all over????? Anyway this 'Momma J' treated the wound as if it was real bad but had no tape to hold the dressing on. Dennis nonchalantly said to use Duct Tape,
"really, you wouldn't mind?"
Ready to go to work again but said to me....
"picture this." (take a picture)

Love this post! We had tons of foreign exchange students from all different places in high school... and one of them who lived about a mile from my house! Definitely fun times, love all those memories and learning lots of new things from them, and with them! :)
So naughty for such a nice boy!!! LOL!
