and 15 other states today. The 4th grade class had their state presentation open house. The class has spent the year study and learning about a state they drew out of a hat at the beginning of the year. Letters were written by each student for information and computer research done. Then posters and a booklet made...

...for the open house the 4th grader could have a food sample of what their state is known for...Georgia had peanuts, Texas had salsa, ect....Alaska...hmmmmmm what are they known for...huge cabbages, salmon, Baked Alaska...none quite suited for kids or a snack so with a little research, I helped Isaac make 'bear claws' cookies....yep, bear is eaten and we did the nutrition research. Bear meat has no cholesterol and half the calories of beef.....well the bear claw cookies can profess to none that!!!! Alot of fat, sugar but A-plus for original!!!
