A BLIZZARD

in our part of the country.

~absolutely no travels this day
~in our part of the country

~that affects 3/5th of our family
~1/5th is traveling from sunny Mesa, meandering across the lands of our country, no rush to get to this part...the bitter cold and drifts of white.
Another 1/5th is up northern Minnesota having a grand time with her basketball team, unable to get home because of the 20 plus inches of snow that blows between here & there!! The remaining 3/5th is safe home with plenty to eat, warm & a bit (quite a bit) stir crazy!
Thankful for the phones that keep us in contact. The map that tells where each one is, the progress of the one coming from the sunny south and the one that is enjoying a water park in her stranded destination.
We are all safe...that's good.

Games are played, electronic, computer, domino's, triamino's, reading books, puzzles....look out the window, get something to eat, a bit of cleaning, pick on the other, a nap, ect.. Call the cousins, they are just as bored...

so how do you spend your day snowed in?

Making Christmas goodies and wading in waist deep snow drifts to frost cookies. Oh and did I mention the three boys fighting (2 little ones and one who is old enough to know better aka 31) Glad you e-mailed me now I can look forward to a cricut cartridge sometime :)

I've really missed the SD blizzards. So glad we might actually get one tonight later!

Our day was spent with Terry blowing snow off the driveway, Trevor attempting to shovel the drifts and the girls & I making homemade soup. The was followed by a family game of Monopoly---with me going bankrupt first!! =-)

I love seeing your snow, from a distance. Thanks for sharing! :) We only got about four inches and that is enough to make travel around town difficult. Cabin fever could become a real issue before this winter is over.
