You know when you are not really wanting something it is every where you look???? and when you want it is nowhere to be found....exactly...that would be an old crib. Really all I wanted was the metal spring but....
Well the other day my sister and I were in a town a way from home and as we meandered back towards home we stopped at garage sales....this one was especially junky (stinky) but there it was the....loaded with more junk..."make me an offer"...."$5"...."think everyone are a Jew today"....my thought is~'lady clean it up, mark it and unload the junk and maybe'...............she took my offer and I left delighted!!!
1st problem to solve.....is block basement walls and wanting to hang pictures.
....so I thought why not hang an old crib spring, having to drill only a few holes and than suspend the pictures from with clips and have the option to move them around or add as I feel....
....spray paint it black to go with the decor.
...ah ha...I like it!, just as I imagined it to be, the freedom to have the farm pictures from the years past all together for comparison.
2nd issue....boots tossed on the ground by the shed....always looking cluttered.
....the side rails, hey wouldn't they make a good do-jobby for the boots as I wondered to my sis....so while I was busy doing other things along with putting coats of paint on my crib spring..........
.....my sister whipped this together.....
Just PERFECT
.....now the boots are paired and tipped over to keep dry in wait for the pickers on the muddy days.
any ideas for the ends of the crib????

I LOVE you crib spring idea! As for the boots, Jenae came up with a great idea....I am trying to find a nesting box (I think it's called) for shoe cubbies in my porch. Hmmmm!!! I love seeing your ideas!
