I think this is the wettest July that I remember since we started truck gardening. Today again we had a weeding crew lined but the sky is rumbling and its raining. The crops are really growing as we finally have hot/warm muggy weather. The weeds grow too and soon the vines will have covered the ground and there can be no more weeding the vines cannot be stepped on. There is muskmelons the size of softballs already. K. said we will start picking in 3 weeks. Then it is non stop until it freezes in the fall. WHEE.
Pictures are of some of the fields, weeding, and Monday night sky. Thankfully no real heavy rain, wind or hail came out of those skys.
