When K. check the fields after the hail he did find the muskmelons that were on the vine were hit pretty good. It doesn't look like much when the melon is green but when they ripen the damaged spot will rot fast and not last on the grocery shelves. He is talking about having those picked and maybe the plant will reflower and set new fruit. 17 out of 20 melons the adjustors checked were affected. So will collect some insurance to off set our loss. One of the adjustor was an old bee keeper so he and K. had a good visit. I. & L. picked some onion the size of softballs to share with the guys. The only produce ready now at Williams Produce.
